Patrick L. Miller, Attorney at Law, is the owner of Preferred Title Company, and has practiced law in the Baton Rouge area since 1981. Pat earned a B.S. from McNeese State University and received his Juris Doctor from the LSU Law Center. Pat served in the Louisiana Army National Guard from 1971 to 1977, attaining the rank of SSgt (E-6) as the Chief Fire Direction Computer, Heavy Mortar Platoon, Support Co.,3rd Battalion,156 Infantry. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is a member of BRITA and served as the President of Baton Rouge Independent Title Attorneys; Pat is a member of LAILTA and is a Past President of the Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents.  Currently a member of the National Association of Independent Land Title Agents, and served as the Treasurer for NAILTA; a member of LLTA having served on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Land Title Association. Pat is a member of the La. Dept of Insurance – Title Agent Advisory Committee; and serves as a consultant to the LSU Office of Assessment and Evaluation; Pat is Co-Chairman of the Louisiana State Bar Association Title Standards Edit Committee. Pat has been a lecturer for NBI Legal Continuing Education courses. He is a Certified Instructor for the Louisiana Real Estate Commission, and obtained a real estate sales license in 1972 and since 1979 has been licensed as a real estate broker. Pat was recognized as the Affiliate of the Year by the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors for 1998.
